You earn 5 CPD points by completing this British Canoeing Awarding Body Equipment Management and Safety eLearning. These will be added to your National Association record after completion. You will also be able to download a certificate of completion.
Managing equipment does not have to be complicated or time consuming, but it needs consideration and appropriate processes to be put in place.
This 3-module eLearning includes modules on:
- Equipment considerations, including those needed by providers, organisations, clubs and coaches.
- Principles of Equipment Management, including safety checks, maintenance and storage
- Equipment Management in Practice, including practical scenarios
Managing equipment appropriately is an important consideration for everyone involved in paddlesport activity.
For many, such as clubs and commercial activity providers, managing equipment is second nature but it is important to understand the legal requirements of equipment management and how good practice can contribute to safety and help maintain the life expectancy of equipment.
We encourage anyone from the paddling community who wants to improve their knowledge about equipment management to complete the eLearning.
