British Canoeing Awarding Body has been working with Pearsons to review and shape the new criteria for GCSE and A Level in PE for Kayaking and Canoeing. The new criteria, now available, is closely aligned with our educational philosophy and approach in developing skills and independence in paddlesport craft.
This is the second Awarding Body for GCSE/A Levels in PE that BCAB have worked alongside to shape the criteria, the OCR published their new qualification documentation earlier this year.
We hope this will encourage more school and college students to engage with paddlesport as part of their educational studies and provide tutors with a more agile approach to assessing competence in paddlesport.
